Survey. Quote.Install. Sign off.
Every job runs the same five steps, whether it is one gate motor or a property fitted out end to end. Nothing is charged until you have seen a written price, and nothing is handed over until it has been tested in front of you.
The work order
- 01
Site survey
We come out, walk the property, measure the runs and listen to what actually bothers you. No charge.
- 02
Written quote
Itemised: equipment, cable, labour. You see what each part costs before anyone drills a hole.
- 03
Install
Neat cable runs, proper trunking, labelled ends. Done in the order that keeps you inconvenienced least.
- 04
Handover
We show you the app, the codes, the breakers and the override — until you can work it without us.
- 05
Sign-off
Tested under load and signed off. Certificate of Compliance issued where the electrical work calls for one.
What to expect
From us
The things you should be able to take for granted, and which we would rather write down than leave you hoping for.
We turn up when we said
And if something moves, you hear it from us before the time, not after it.
A price before the work
In writing, itemised. If the job changes on site, you approve the change before we carry on.
Neat work you can inspect
Cable in trunking where it shows, ends labelled, holes made deliberately. The board should look like someone cared.
It works before we leave
Tested with you standing there — the gate cycles, the cameras record, the changeover switches, the breaker holds.
You know how to use it
App, codes, remotes, override, isolator. If you cannot work it without phoning us, the handover was not finished.
From you
Small things that make a job faster and cheaper — none of them are prerequisites for getting a quote.
Tell us what actually bothers you
Not the product you think you need. “I cannot see who is at the gate at night” leads to a better quote than “I want four cameras.”
Access on the day
Someone who can open up, and dogs secured if there are runs to pull outside.
Say what cannot be interrupted
A work-from-home call, a shop’s trading hours, a tenant’s schedule. We sequence around it if we know.
Paperwork you already have
An electricity bill for solar, a borehole report for a pump, the make of an existing motor or alarm panel.
Ask while we are there
Questions on site are free and quick. Questions three weeks later are a call-out.
On timing: we do not publish standard lead times, because they would be fiction. Job length depends on scope, on what has to be ordered in and on what the survey turns up. What you get instead is an expected duration on your quote, for your job — and a call if it changes.
Questions
No. The site survey and the written quote are free, and there is no obligation at the end of them. We would rather come and look than guess over the phone — a quote given blind is a quote that changes on the day, and nobody enjoys that conversation.
Itemised — equipment, cable and labour listed separately, so you can see what each part of the job costs. If there is a cheaper way to get most of the result, it goes on the quote as an option rather than being left out.
It depends entirely on scope: a gate motor is a different day to a full solar installation with board work. We give you the expected time on the quote so you can plan around it, and tell you if parts have to be ordered in.
For the survey it helps a great deal — you know which corner worries you and which door matters. For the install, someone needs to give access, but it does not have to be you for the whole day.
Call us. The person who comes back is the person who installed it, which is the practical benefit of using one contractor for the whole property rather than four.
Usually. Tell us the hours that are impossible and we will plan the sequence around them — that is what the ordering in step three is for.
Yes — servicing, fault finding and extensions, on our own installations and on systems fitted by someone else. Ask us what your equipment needs when we look at it.

Start with
the survey.
It costs nothing.
Tell us roughly what you need and where the property is. We come out, look at it properly, and you get a written price with no pressure attached to it.
